GOLDEN PLAQUE
This golden plaque from chamber 1
of the royal tomb is embossed with
Egyptian ankh symbols and
gryphons. A double circle of holes
along its rim and traces of
organic
matter surrounding them suggest
that the plaque was sewn into a
circular hole and thus probably
adorned a leather quiver which has
not survived the millennia.
