FRAGILE FLASKS
Next to the entrance of ‘Tomb VII’ in
the north chamber stands a group
of well-preserved vessels of Egyptian
origin: a dozen thin-walled flasks
carved from alabaster – so-called
alabastra – and a stone jar made of
gabbro, a volcanic rock. One of the
alabastra is filled with gold jewelry.
