With a panorama scanner, a three-
dimensional survey or ‘Tomb VII’ is
being performed. A green laser
sweeps the topography of the tomb
dot by dot. In order to avoid blind
spots, surveying technician Tobias
Reich scans repeatedly from
different angles. A computer then
renders a detailed 3D-model of the
tomb and its contents.
