in a biomechanics lab. Pressure,
tilt, and acceleration sensors
under her right foot, on her
ankle, and on her tibia transmit
data to a computer via cable.
A sensor underneath the rubber
mat measures attenuation.
The runner’s speed is controlled
by two light barriers.
