BULL’S EYE
An Iron Age circular ditch sits smack
in the middle of the NEL lane. It was
uncovered after the topsoil had been
removed in a field near Syke south of
Bremen.
Now the structure is scanned for
metal artifacts with a metal detector
before archaeologists excavate parts
of it. Nearby, a hoard of gold from
the Bronze Age was found, the
Gessel Hoard.
