CUNEIFORM TABLET
This clay tablet is an administrative
document on the issue of reed; it
was accidentally sealed upside-down
with a cylinder seal. It was found
broken in two in a corridor leading to
the royal tomb where it had come to
rest after the floor of the palace
chancellery collapsed during the
palace’s destruction. The left part
was burned in the fire while the rest
lay protected by debris.
