THE TRANSPARENT HUMAN
was developed by Franz
Tschakert of the Museum for
Hygiene in Dresden, Germany,
in 1927. For the first time the
human skeleton, organs, blood
vessels and nerve system were
displayed beneath a transparent
plastic skin. This glass woman
was made in the eighties in
the museum’s workshops.
The organs can be highlighted
individually.
