GIANTS’ PARADE
in Disko Bay on Greenland’s
west coast. Eisbergs in an
inlet near Ilulissat drift
toward the sea. The ice fiord
is fed by the Sermeq Kujalleq
glacier which is considered
the most productive of the
northern hemisphere.
Roughly10% of all icebergs
from Greenland originate here.

>> This was an awesome
spot at the mouth of the inlet
which is mostly very deep,
except for the shoals blocking
its mouth.
      Large icebergs often
get snagged here and cause
a pile-up until they break into
smaller ones or get pushed
over the threshold from
behind. Smaller icebergs or
floes pass unhindered, which
is a majestic sight.
